Travel details

Meeting point is the evening before at the hotel in Mutters, where we also spend the night after next. After breakfast together, we first head downhill on forest trails to Innsbruck, from where we take the Nordkettenbahn to the Seegrube. With a stretcher passage we leave civilization and descend into the Karwendel, all on trail until the valley floor. A scenic drive through the narrow valley follows before another crisp climb to our overnight hut. There is no luggage transfer here, so don’t forget to pack your toothbrush early in the morning.

We start the day with an extremely varied and very long trail descent to the Inn valley. From here we shutteln just under 800hm uphill. After another 600m of pedaling and pushing we reach the second fantastic descent of the day: a panoramic trail down to the Sellrain valley. From there it goes a few more kilometers to our hotel in Mutters to then enjoy the time for beer, shower and fresh clothes.

First thing in the morning we get on the cable car. The subsequent climb is so steep that it forces us to push again, before it goes on super nice trails including a stop down in the Stubai Valley. The fun descent is followed by a few miles of cross country trail, as well as some leisurely trails and roads to our final zip line. Now there are still 500hm to go to the hut, where we will stay overnight. We spend the night at 2600m above sea level.

After the long day yesterday, we have almost nothing more uphill today – but all the more down. Although we are virtually only going downhill, we need half the day for this epic descent due to its length. Shortly after noon we reach Innsbruck where our brilliant round comes to an end.
